About Phoenix Solutions

Jeff Petrie was raised in Naperville, IL and graduated from Naperville Central High School in 1981. Prior to graduation, he spent his summers framing houses for his father's business, James Construction Company. James Construction Company worked with some of Naperville's finest builders, DF Hedge, Sefarra, Qualkenbush, Gerten and many others. During this time, Jeff became experienced and competent in framing homes at a young age. Additionally, after graduation, he spent time working with siding crews, building decks and exterior staircases.
In 1984, Jeff moved to Phoenix where he was employed by Total Development as a carpenter working on commercial retail projects. This opportunity allowed him to gain additional experience in metal framing, ceiling grids, drywall, wall display systems. Eventually his talents led him to become a superintendent managing commercial buildouts across the country.

One of the accounts Jeff managed when working with Total Development was Wet Seal. His skills and creativity in managing projects and completing them on time, led him to a position within Wet Seal. There he oversaw all new store openings, reviewed all existing stores for improved work enviroment, safety, selling environment for staff and kept everything in working order and visually appealing to the customer.

After nearly 4 years with Wet Seal, Jeff was offered a position back in Illinois to work with Bluefield Homes as a carpenter and superintendent. During that time, Jeff started up a small finish carpenter contractor company called J&R Trim. J&R became a successful finish trim carpenter contractor working with multiple builders in some of the finer, upscale subdivisions in the area. They became known for excellence in doing what they say they are going to do, the exceptional quality of J&R's work and leaving job sites far cleaner than when they found them.

J&R Trim's success caught the eye of a developer and property management company called Marquette Management. They were hired to perform the carpentry work at Naperville's River Place apartments during their conversion to condominiums. Due to their professionalism, they eventually took on the role of doing a complete turn-key operation managing all phases of construction, purchasing and value engineering. J&R was acknowledge publically and in print for their outstanding performance and customer service during this 3 year project.

This success brought more work for J&R in performing condominium projects. Petrie Design and Development was formed to manage this work specifically. Petrie Design continued to work with Marquette on several more property conversion projects as well as building a custom period accurate Williamsburg Colonial home in Naperville, renovating restaurants and doing light remodeling for retail stores and managing custom kitchens and baths for homeowners.

Petrie Design's success led to a partnership to create Casa Bella Design Center. A service oriented, design/build kitchen and bath design center and remodeling company located in downtown Naperville. Casa Bella's Show room was quickly recognized within the industry as one of the top showrooms in the area and completed countless spectacular renovations with multiple nationwide publications of its work.

In 2008, Jeff left Casa Bella to recover from an accident. After spending time working independently with various companies and clients doing repairs and renovation work, Jeff has decided its time to bring his vision and passion for excellence and service back to life.

Phoenix Solutions is the result of that passion.
